Guest:                         Councillor Duane Round, City of Parksville 

Manley Lafoy called the meeting to order at 7:45 A.M., introduced and welcomed the guest speaker, Councillor Duane Round and turned the meeting over to him.

    Duane Round spoke on his participation on City Council since his election last year giving information on his background, the learning curve and rules and procedures.  Question period followed the presentation.   It was suggested that all correspondence to the City be addressed to the Mayor and City Council so that Councillors are kept abreast of ongoing issues as well as City staff.  Duane recommended that members consider running for Council in the next Civic Election to be held in November.
